Notes: This was an idea I had after watching the third Sailor Moon movie, Sailor Moon Super S the Movie: Black Dream Hole. I got the idea after thinking that Peruru from the movie looked an awful lot like Ryou Bakura, so I decided to try writing a story about it. And...it's really bad. Really.

Summary: Worlds collide when the Sailor Senshi take a trip to the city of Domino, more than any one would have guessed.

~*~*~*~

Ryou pulled his T-shirt over his head, getting ready for bed. It had been a good day, and he had spent a good time with his friends.

But, as he was buttoning up his flannel shirt, he couldn't help but think of something that had been bothering him for quite a while. He had noticed that Rei had seemed to glare at him all afternoon, until the time they had parted.

"Don't think about it, Ryou," his Yami called, "she's just a some stuck-up, snobbish girl."

Ryou came out of the closet he was dressing it, finding his spirit of the ring sitting on his bed. "No," Ryou said, "I'm sure Rei-san is nothing of the sort."

Bakura rolled his eyes at his light's formality.

"But I just found it really weird, that's all."

"Yes…she was looking at the Pharaoh that way as well, when she wasn't glaring at you."

"I know. Minako-san said that Rei-san is like a psychic or something, where she can do fire readings, fortune telling, and feel things normal people can't."

"A priestess? Well, I suppose it's possible, even in this day and age."

"Yami? Do you think…if Rei-san is really that kind of psychic…that the reason she is wary around me is because of you?"

The thief looked at his light.

"I mean, if Minako-san said that she's very aware of evil spirits and things like that, do you think that she sensed you?"

"Most likely. She feels my presence within you, seeing as how I am an evil presence. That would also explain why she also kept looking at Yami no Yugi, since he is the same as I."

"What are the chances she'll find out?" the younger boy asked, slightly nervous.

"Well, as long as I remain in the Millennium Ring, and Yugi and his Yami continue to act like brothers, then we should be fine."

Ryou nodded. "Okay."

"Why are you worried if they find out, though?"

"It's hard to explain about you. Besides, would you want anyone, besides Yugi-tachi, to know about you?"

Bakura smirked. "Not really. No sense letting nosy people knowing what's none of their business."

"Right. I figured you would feel that way, and I just wanted to protect your privacy. I know how much you prefer to keep to yourself."

Bakura looked up at the other, surprise slightly etched in his chocolate orbs as Ryou walked over the mirror and, picking up a brush, combed it through his unruly hair.

When he finished, the boy walked over to the bed as his Yami moved off it, and, pulling the covers over his body, laid down to go to sleep.

"Are you going to stay up, Yami?" he asked.

Bakura nodded. "But you can turn that light off, if you want."

"You don't mind sitting in the dark?"

The spirit gave him a disdained look.

"Stupid question. But, I meant…you know, you might want to read, or something…"

"But you can't seem to sleep with the light on. Turn it off. I'll just meditate for a while."

Ryou shrugged, reaching out to turn the light out. "Ok, good night, Yami." And, with a click, the light went off.

The dark spirit only had to wait a few minutes before he heard a gentle snoring, indicating that his light was already asleep. He found himself chuckling somewhat. Ryou fell asleep very easily, though he was a pretty light sleeper.

He stopped when he realized what he was doing. He never used to be like this. Even back in Egypt 3,000 years ago, he was a ruthless thief, aiming only for power and ridding himself of all who opposed him. He also was bent on revenge on the Pharaoh, who trapped him in the Millennium Ring on the first place.

After Ryou freed him, from his imprisonment, all he cared about was revenge on the Pharaoh, Yami no Yugi, and gathering all seven Sennen Items to gain the ultimate powers of darkness. He could have cared less what happened to Ryou, whom he considered weak anyway. It was apparent when he trapped the boy's soul in his favorite card.

But Ryou was stronger than he seemed, which the spirit realized when the boy was trying to help his friends. Though he didn't know it then, Bakura was very intrigued by that and wondered what it would be like to have a friend.

He found out in Battle City, when he was dueling Yami no Yugi. He had protected his injured light, though he didn't admit the real reason. In truth, he felt the urge to protect Ryou. It was strange. Why did he suddenly care and want to protect the worthless, weak boy?

Bakura shook his head. No, Ryou wasn't weak, and he certainly wasn't worthless. After Battle City, Ryou had thanked him for helping him.

['Yami?' the young boy said very timidly.

*What?* the spirit snapped.

'Thanks…for helping me…'

Bakura was slightly surprised by the boy's words. How did he…? *I wasn't doing it for you, you know.*

'I know. I mean, you even said it was because you still needed my body. But thanks anyway.']

It was the first time Ryou had ever talked to him without fear, and Bakura had thought he was better when he was a little more assertive. But he figured, in order to get him that way, he would have to act nicer to the boy. It hurt his pride a bit, but if Ryou would act a little tougher, it was worth it.

But the strange thing was, after a while, Bakura had stopped acting. Ryou didn't know, so he couldn't tell. Bakura, though, could feel that he had changed somehow, and, as scary as it was, he cared for Ryou.

He now understood what friendship was, and he understood why one would risk their lives to save a friend.

The spirit wanted to do the same for Ryou, to protect him when he needed him. He understood now the bond between Yugi and his Yami, and wished to be the same for his light, the first friend he ever had.

He sat on the bed carefully, not wanting to disturb his light's peaceful slumber. Reaching up, Bakura stroked the pale locks in front of Ryou's child-like face.

Like Rei, he was also a psychic of sorts, and could also sense and feel certain things. He felt a certain amount of power within Ryou's new friends, and he had his suspicion's about them. But he never said anything to Ryou. He didn't want to worry him, especially since he liked Minako.

Also, as much as he hated to say, he could sense that something bad was going to happen soon, and that it was connected somehow to Usagi-tachi. He wasn't sure how, but he knew that the results didn't bode well for Ryou.

"Don't worry," the spirit whispered in the dark. "I'll protect you, no matter what. I swear on the ring…no, on my life…I promise, Aibou, I'll protect you…"

Chibi-Usa sat awake in bed that night, even after Usagi, Luna, and Diana were all asleep. She couldn't bring herself to fall asleep, afraid to dream.

She wanted to see Peruru, more than anything. She really missed him, and hadn't seen him for a while until last night. But she couldn't bear to see him hurt, which she was afraid might happen.

The cherry-haired girl held the flute close to her heart. Closing her eyes, she remembered the song that he had played for her when they first met, the ones that caused the cookies in the shop window to dance.

*Just pull it out, and think of me. I'll hear you, I promise.*

She gasped, shaking her head to clear her thoughts. If she thought about him, he would think she had something important to tell him. It was too risky to think about him, especially if he was in the middle of something.

Chibi-Usa groaned. It was hard not to think of him. She was reminded of him somehow.

Especially when she was around Bakura Ryou. When she first met him, she was reminded strongly of Peruru. They were both shy, rather quiet, very polite and kind…even their hair color was the same.

They almost looked the same, as well. There were some differences, of course, like the color of their eyes and the length of their hair, but their faces were similar. Both had a child-like face, and a warm, soft smile. Of course, an obvious difference was Peruru's wings…

She sighed. She was thinking about him again. Maybe if she put the flute away…

Looking at the clock, she decided to go to sleep. It was 12 AM, and they were meeting Rebecca-tachi in a few hours. Putting the flute away, she crawled under the covers and settled down to go to sleep.

'Peruru, I want to help you. So please…hold on until I can fully know what we're dealing with.'
