I love my job. I love where I work, I love the people I work with, and I love what we do. There's a lot of new things that we need to learn in the future, but that's part of the job, and it's to help us work more efficiently to help the kids that come to the center. If I could get away with just working there for the rest of my life, I wouldn't mind that.
Unfortunately that would be difficult to do. The working hours are suitable for high school or maybe even college students...not for a college graduate who's trying to pay off student loans and needs to consider her future. I can work two weeks and just earn 20 hours, no joke. And though I don't mind living at home and getting help from my parents, I'm getting older, and I won't be able to depend on them forever.
So about a month ago, I was at my old high school where my brother currently attends. And the principal there (who actually used to be the librarian back when I was there) started talking to me and a friend about being a substitute teacher there. And I've been considering it, I really have. There are pros and cons to it, and I've been weighing my options. But...I don't know. I've been really considering it. And every time I mention it to someone, they seem to respond positively. So...maybe. I might like to try it, see if I'd ever consider becoming a full-fledged teacher. So...we'll see.
( And now for some unimportant stuff... )
Anyway, that's about it. Now I'm off to enjoy a cup of spiced tea and write one of those aforementioned scenes...or maybe I'll keep playing Super Mario 3D Land, haha.
