Fluttershy shivered a little, feeling the heat blossoming in her face as Chris gently brushed back a strand of her hair and tucked it behind her ear. She glanced up at him shyly, and could see the question he wanted to ask when she met his eyes.

Her heart was racing, and she couldn’t find her voice even if she had the words to speak with. But still she managed to give him a small smile.

It was all the answer he needed as he returned the smile, the backs of his fingers lightly stroking her cheek. Then his fingers slipped under her chin, gently tilting her face up as he leaned forward to close the distance between them.

The wait seemed to last forever, but then suddenly his lips met hers; no matter how soft and sweet the kiss was, it still sent an electric current shooting through her body. She couldn’t help the small noise rising in the back of her throat, muffled by his lips. She returned the kiss as she leaned into him, suddenly feeling very weak at the knees.

His arm slipped around her, supporting her, holding her body to his as the kiss lingered. Then, with one last press into the kiss it ended as quickly as it had begun, Chris pulling back just enough to break contact.

She took a shuddering breath, even as she shivered feeling the warmth of his breath across her skin. She opened her eyes, not realizing they had been closed, and looked up at him. He smiled at her, resting his forehead against hers and simply remaining that way for a moment in a comfortable silence.

But she could still feel the warmth of his lips on hers and, in a rare moment of boldness from her, leaned up slightly to reconnect another kiss, already longing for more.
