walkyourownwayLooking back, my most recent journal entries are a bit...well, not happy...to say the least. So I figure I should post about something not so frustrating or depressing. But the only thing I can think about posting right now are some fic ideas I mentioned before. Nothing too specific, just a little synopsis of the fics.
No real reason for writing about them. In fact I cut them on the off chance that people don't want to be bored reading through them. But I like having them written down somewhere, so if I drift away from the fandom for a bit and come back to them, then I'll at least have the idea written down in case I feel like writing the fic then.
Also, I seem to develop stories better when I have someone to talk to about it, just someone to bounce around ideas with. So if anyone does happen to read some of these, I wouldn't mind suggestions ^^
Okay, so this first idea is for a Wild Kratts fic:
I was watching Mystery of the Weird Looking Walrus some time ago when I thought of something interesting (at least to me). When Kratt Bros were undercover as walruses, and Martin was worried that Chris had actually been hypnotized, Chris responds that Zach's machines didn't work on them since they didn't have walrus brains. So I started wondering if Zach was able to actually build a machines that could actually control people.
So basically, the story is about Zach inventing something that takes control of one of the Kratt Bros (and I already have one in mind, but I gotta have some secrets, don't I? ;D ). The story kind of plays on Zach's rivalry with Aviva about being a better inventor and his desire to get the Kratts out of his way (even if that way is having one work for him). And it's also supposed to kind of take a look and push the boundaries of just how far the brothers are willing to go for each other. And some Kung Fu Panda ones (minor spoilers for the second movie):
I'm actually already working on an interaction fic between the Soothsayer and Shifu. I know that's kind of weird since the two characters never really met or anything, but during that scene in the second movie with Po and the Soothsayer, I kind of got the feeling that the Soothsayer felt somewhat responsible concerning the matter with Shen and everything. And given what happened with Shifu and Tai Lung, I figured the two of them could kind of relate to each other. The fic doesn't really have them saying much, though...(but then, they're wise elders, so they might be able to connect without saying a lot lol).
Not really much else about this one, though some confirmation that I'm not completely psycho would be nice ^^;;
There was another idea I wanted to write focusing on Shifu, during that scene the movie cuts back to him after what happens to Po. That was one of my favorite scenes in the movie, but I'm not exactly sure how to focus exactly on what I want to say about it. It's one of those scenes that I'd love to write about, but I wonder if I should because it was powerful enough without any words...
I also wanted to write a little fic about Mr. Ping, just because I've always loved the father-child relationship, and this one just touched my heart. But it's one of those things that I'm not sure what to talk about. I'm thinking of it taking place before the movies, back when Po was a baby and Mr. Ping is adjusting to suddenly being a parent.
And maybe a fic about Po, after coming to the decision that he's not going to lament about his past any longer, and how he wasn't even that mad at Shen for what happened. After his flashback of what happened to the Panda Village, I noticed the Soothsayer say the exact words Mr. Ping used about Po's "beginnings", and for some reason that made me really tear up. So I wanted to write a story about Po realizing that everything that happened brought him to where he is now (with his dad, with Shifu, with the Five, etc.). Yeah, it's one of those realization stories, but I kind of like things like that ^^;;
These are just ideas of course. I'd love to maybe write them sometime, but I'll have to see. Honestly, I don't know if I'll actually have time to get to them. *sigh*
