I just realized how much I really want icons from Captain America: The First Avenger/The Avengers. Like, really want. Does anyone have any?

Plus, I'd love an icon of this gif:

I just...really need more Chris Evans in my life.

So I've been feeling a little down lately, which is how I got the idea for this story. It's kind of a small idea, but I thought it was worth mentioning anyway. Plus, with the new Persona 4: The Golden coming out, it might be a good time to talk about this one.

In the game Persona 4, the main character (who can be given a name by the player, but is officially called Yu Narukami) can take a volunteer job folding paper cranes...I think it's for sick children. The folding paper cranes job is one of those things that raises the players stats, so it was an okay job to have except you didn't get paid for it like other stat-raising jobs. But it was cute watching Yu folding paper cranes, and in Persona 4: The Animation, they took the idea of folding cranes and kind of ran away with it.

But anyway, later in the game Yu's cousin, Nanako, ends up in the hospital because of after the Investigation Team rescues Nanako from her dungeon in the TV and she's taken to the hospital in hopes of helping her recover. Nanako's father and Yu's uncle, Ryotaro Dojima, is also in the hospital due to an accident, so Yu is left in their house all by himself.

The story begins just after Nanako is placed in the hospital, and Yu is forced to go back home to the empty house. There isn't much he can do, so he heads up into his room to get to bed. However, as he glances at his work table, he notices the group of paper cranes he was working on for another bundle to give. And he gets an idea.

Because the story of Sadako Sasaki is pretty famous; everyone knows how she tried to make a thousand paper cranes in order to wish herself better. And even if a giant crane didn't come to grant a wish, Yu thinks that all those cranes might help make his cousin feel better.

So over the next few weeks, Yu is seen constantly making paper cranes; he sneaks making cranes in class, he spends lunch making cranes, he has a few when he's hanging out with his friends, and even brings along paper to make cranes while they're taking breaks training in dungeons. He carries around a box to put any cranes he makes, to keep them safe. People notice all the cranes, of course, but no one really knows what he's making them for, and he doesn't care to elaborate.

Then...the events in December happen. At one point, it actually seems like Nanako dies, which of course upsets everyone. The Investigation Team is so upset, in fact, that they nearly trap her distraught thought-to-be-killer-at-the-time, Namatame, into the television world. Tension is high, and they very nearly do it. However, Yu realizes that something's wrong, and somehow manages to convince them not to do so...that doing it wouldn't help Nanako at all. He convinces them not to throw Namatame into the television. And, after leaving Namatame's room, they discover that Nanako is actually alive after all.

Eventually, Yu and the others leave the hospital to get some rest for another investigation. But when Yu returns to the empty house, and as he's going to bed, he sees the bundle of cranes he was working on for Nanako. The events of the day - nearly losing his cousin, seeing his uncle so upset, nearly offing a man - all catches up to him. All alone, he breaks down and finally lets out all his feelings.
