Well...after my last post, I'm in the mood for something a little lighter. Heh...so here we go.

Day 14 – Ratings – how high are you comfortable with going? Have you ever written higher? If you're comfortable with NC-17, have you ever been shocked by finding that the story you're writing is G-rated instead?

Well, according to all my stories on FF.net, I only write G or PG stuff, haha. Though some of those might be mis-rated...Anyway, I think I'm only really comfortable going up to PG-13 stuff. I mean, I might write a little violence, but I don't think I've ever done a whole lot really. I'm not so much an action person, so I'm not really good at writing a lot of action-y violence anyway. And yeah, I probably wouldn't write anything higher than PG-13.

Day 1 – How did you first get into writing fanfic, and what was the first fandom you wrote for? What do you think it was about that fandom that pulled you in?
Day 2 – Name the fandoms you've written in, and how much you've written in that fandom, and if you still write in it.
Day 3 – For each of the fandoms from day two, what were your favorite characters to write?
Day 4 – Do you have a "muse" character, that speaks to you more than others, or that tries to push their way in, even when the fic isn't about them? Who are they, and why did that character became your muse?
Day 5 –If you have ever had a character try to push their way into a fic, whether your "muse" or not, what did you do about it?
Day 6 – When you write, do you prefer writing male or female characters?
Day 7 – Have you ever had a fic change your opinion of a character?
Day 8 – Do you write OCs? And if so, what do you do to make certain they're not Mary Sues, and if not, explain your thoughts on OCs.
Day 9 – Pairings – For each of the fandoms from day two, what are your three favorite pairings to write?
Day 10 – Pairings – Have you ever gone outside your comfort zone and written a pairing you liked, but found you couldn't write, or a pairing you didn't like, and found you could?
Day 11 – Genre – do you prefer certain genres of fic when you're writing? What kind do you tend to write most?
Day 12 – Have you ever attempted an "adaptation" fic of a favorite book or movie but set in a different fandom?
Day 13 – Do you prefer canon or fanon when you write? Has writing fanfic for a fandom changed the way you see some or even all of the original source material?
Day 14 – Ratings – how high are you comfortable with going? Have you ever written higher? If you're comfortable with NC-17, have you ever been shocked by finding that the story you're writing is G-rated instead?
Day 15 – Warnings – What do you feel it most important to warn for, and what's the strangest thing you've warned for in a fic?
Day 16 – Summaries – Do you like them or hate them? How do you come up with them, if you use them?
Day 17 – Titles – Are they the bane of your existence, or the easiest part of the fic? Also, if you do chaptered fic, do you give each chapter a title, or not?
Day 18 – Where do you get the most inspiration for your fics (aka "bunnies") from?
Day 19 – When you have bunnies, do you sit down and start writing right away, or do you write down the idea for further use?
Day 20 –Do you ever get bunnied from other people's stories or art in the same fandom?
Day 21 – Sequels – Have you ever written a sequel to a fic you wrote, and if so, why, and if not, how do you feel about sequels?
Day 22 – Have you ever participated in a fest or a Big Bang? If so, write about your favorite experience in relation to one. If not, are there any you've thought about doing? And if not, why not?
Day 23 – When you post, where do you post to? Just your journal? Just an archive? Your own personal site?
Day 24 – Betaing – How many betas do you like to use to make sure there aren't any major flaws in your fic? Do you have a Beta horror story or dream story?
Day 25 – Music – Do you listen to music while you write? Do you make playlists to get into a certain "mood" to write your fic? Do you need noise in general? Or do you need it completely quiet?
Day 26 – What is the oddest (or funnest) thing you've had to research for a fic?
Day 27 – Where is your favorite place to write, and do you write by hand or on the computer?
Day 28 – Have you ever collaborated with anyone else, whether writing together, or having an artist work on a piece about your fic?
Day 29 – What is your current project or projects?
Day 30 – Do you have a favorite fic you've written? What makes it your favorite? And don't forget to give us a link!

And now, for some story ideas...because I can.

So the first idea I had was another Kung-Fu Panda one. I was looking through videos on YouTube when I came across this one comment that I found a bit fascinating. The commenter said that Master Oogway's life had been directly connected to the Sacred Peach Tree, and his life had depended on the fruit that bloomed only...what, every 1,000 years I think? Anyway, the comment said that the reason Oogway died was really because all of the fruit had fallen from the tree, which happened because Shifu had knocked all the fruit out. So, even though Shifu hadn't known, in a way it was kind of his fault that Oogway died at the time he did. Because, had the fruit fallen naturally, Oogway would have lived much longer. I never found proof about whether or not that was true, but I thought the idea was pretty cool all the same.

The idea is also based on this story I only glimpsed at on FF.net about Monkey's relationship with Oogway. While the fic itself didn't really impress me, I loved the idea that, of the Furious Five, Monkey would've had the closest relationship with Oogway, given the important role Oogway had in Monkey's past. He showed Monkey compassion, after all, and helped Monkey change for the better. Plus, I do like to think that Oogway was the one who recruited Monkey to train in the Valley of Peace, heehee.

Based on that, I had this idea where an old friend of Oogway's comes to visit the Valley of Peace, not knowing that Oogway had already passed. To his knowledge, Oogway should have had more time because the Sacred Peach Tree had just started to bear fruit (by scared tree standards, I guess), so it should have been a while before all the fruit fell. But, learning of the hand Shifu had in Oogway's death, challenges Shifu's position as Oogway's replacement, and they begin a duel of sorts. Shifu though, feels guilty when he learns about the mistake he made, and is willing to give up. But Monkey is the one who comes to his defense because, despite knowing how Shifu was tied in Oogway's death, still vouches and sticks up for him. And that, begrudgingly, convinces Oogway's old friend to let Shifu remain in Oogway's position. And he even gives Shifu the green cloth that Shifu wears in the second movie.

Yeah...weird I know, but I couldn't help it. Heehee.

The next few ideas are for Phineas and Ferb, based on the new movie that premiered on Friday. Most of them are drabble-ish fics. There was one based on Phineas' reaction to finding out Perry was a secret agent, and how the real reason he was so upset was because of the realization that they could've actually lost Perry. It goes into Phineas' later comment about how, even if they were just a cover story for Perry's double life, Perry was still a part of their family, and he couldn't imagine losing him.

Another one takes place later, after all their memories are erased. Because if they don't remember anything about that day, then they must be really confused to see the day over, huh? Haha. But anyway, it's really about Phineas and, as he pulls the whole "Oh there you are, Perry" line, he kind of feels like he should've known where Perry was to begin with. Like, it's there in the back of his mind, but he can't quite figure it out. Because I like to think that, even though they've forgotten, a part of them still remembers somehow.

The last one is a bit of a longer story that takes place in the other dimension. There's not really a lot to it, but I liked playing around with the idea that, in the other dimension, Phineas has an obvious crush on Isabella (obvious to everyone but her, of course), and Isabella secretly being charmed by his innocence. Because I was under the impression that, like Candace, Isabella forced herself to grow up fast in order to be part of the resistance. The idea takes place after the events of the movie, and after a day of cleaning up the Tri-State area of any evidence Doofenshmirtz's, Phineas invites Isabella back with him and Ferb so they can all try to figure out the "Summer thing" together. She's not sure what to make of it at first, but reluctantly agrees because, in a way, she finds him cute.

Gah. That just reminds me of the small Phineas/Isabella they threw in at the end of the movie before...that...DARN YOU MOVIE, HOW COULD YOU DO THAT?! *sob* They were...so...close...
