She thought she had lost everything.
Penny and Pyrrha were dead. Vale was in near ruins, overrun with Grimm. Blake had abandoned them, Weiss was gone…even Ruby didn't need her anymore, and her stub of an arm was just a constant reminder of so much pain. What was even the point anymore?
Then he came back. Despite being separated by different universes, he came back…just to see her. And even despite his own missing arm, even without a Semblance, he was still fighting on. If he could do that, maybe she could too.
It was enough, after what felt like so long in darkness, to have her try hoping again.
